GIVEAWAY ENTRY PAGE "SNOWDROPS" by A.D. MILLER ENDED

MARCH 31st to APRIL 14th

SNOWDROPS
by A.D. MILLER

SYNOPSIS (from author's website):
Nick Platt is an English lawyer living in Moscow during the wild Russian oil boom. Riding the subway on a balmy September day, he rescues two willowy sisters, Masha and Katya, from a would-be purse snatcher.
Nick soon begins to feel something for Masha that he is pleased to believe is love. As the snow starts to fall, the sisters introduce him to Tatiana Vladimirovna, their aged aunt and the owner of a valuable apartment. Before summer arrives, Nick will travel down to the sweaty Black Sea and up to the Arctic, and he'll make disturbing discoveries about his job, his lover and, most of all, himself.
Snowdrops is a fast-paced drama that unfolds during a beautiful but lethally cold Russian winter. Ostensibly a story of naive foreigners and cynical natives, the novel becomes something richer and darker: a tale of erotic obsession, self-deception and moral freefall. It is set in a land of hedonism and desperation, corruption and kindness, magical hideaways and debauched nightclubs; a place where secrets, and corpses, come to light when the snows thaw.

  2. I hope I never have to find out if I could survive a Russian Winter, however that said, I lived for 58 years in an area that got 200 inches of snow each winter and some winters more.I spent a lot of time snowed in. I moved to Iowa 13 years ago, and we may get from 12-20 inches each year.

  8. This looks like a great book I have had on my TBR list for a while! I think Russian winters would sound great as long as I had the money to support a nice home and warm clothes...I like cold weather (it comes from being in FL all this time)

  12. There's a reason I live in Southern California. I don't do well in the cold. I am allergic to wool and I have Raynaud's syndrome so my hands and feet get painfully cold. Russian winter's wouldn't work for me.

  20. Found you through the Book Hop and am following...

I studied Russian in college, but I've never been there. I think I could survive it provided I have enough books, blankets and vodka. ;)

  21. DO YOU THINK YOU COULD SURVIVE THE RUSSIAN WINTERS? I grew up in Michigan and lived there until my early twenties so I think I would have a fighting chance. We had some pretty nasty winters up there.

    Thanks for the giveaway!
