MY QUESTION:
When was the last time a stranger did a kind deed for you?
MY ANSWER:I apologize in advance for this lengthy answer but I wanted to share because these days it seems that kind acts are far and few between. The day of my Mom's wake, I picked up my sister as we had to be at the funeral home an hour before visiting hours to have our private time. Being nervous and not focused, I got into an accident on the way. It was 100% my fault. I rear ended a pick up truck. I made sure my sister was ok, then got out of the car to check on the other driver, he was ok. I started to cry as I explained where I was headed to. He said there was no damage to his truck but much damage to my car. He patted me on the back, gave me his condolences and said not to worry but to go be with my mother. He never asked for my name, insurance, registration. I cried even more, there are still kind and compassionate people in this world.

Thanks for stopping by. I would have to say when people who have never met prayed for my husband. That meant a lot. If that doesn't count, then the other day when I was at the grocery store, walking in trying to balance both boys in my arms, someone handed me a cart. Have a good weekend!
Awwww! So nice to know there are still compassionate people out there.
The last time a stranger did a nice deed for me was years ago when I was driving home to my parents house in Seattle from Portland, Oregon where I lived at the time. I was heading 'home' for Thanksgiving during a wicked snow storm - I spun out on the freeway, ending up in the center median facing the wrong direction. A car with a family in it stopped on the shoulder and the driver came across the freeway lanes to help me get my car unstuck from the snow (especially since I was still partially in the left lane) - he even put my tire chains on for me. I made it to my parents house safe and sound thanks to that awesome stranger! :)
Thanksgiving is Right Around the Corner
Just reading your answer made me tear up.
Wow. That's amazing that he let you go. It's so true that kind acts are few and far between.
Everyone is afraid of being duped or being sued. It's crazy.
Kind act:
Even someone just letting me go out ahead of them in traffic is kind to me and I try to give it back. And wave a thank you.
That was very kind of him. These days people get bent out of shape for a tiny scratch.
Holding the door and not letting it slam in my face, is all I can think of.
That was nice!!
When my daughter was a newborn we were eating out and a woman payed for our meal and tried to do it anonymously but I found her in the parking lot and thanked her : )
The nice time a stranger did something for me was when I met you and the rest of my blogger friends. You don't know me, but yet you offer your friendship to me without hesitation, and that means so much to a person like me. I've met so many new friends when I started blogging. So many nice people in one place is amazing. Hugzzzzzzzz to you and I pray some day we truly meet in person!
It's been a very long time for me. Sad.
I think I'm one of the lucky people because I encounter acts of kindness everyday.
