Today's Topic:
Do you have friends and family to share books with? Discuss them with? Does it matter to you?
My Response:
Between my family and friends, there are only 2 people that love to read and they live out of state.  I send the majority of my books to my cousin and we will share what we think in our emails or she will check out my blog to read my review of a book I have sent to her.  It does matter, especially when I finish a book that I can't wait to discuss with someone.  That is one of the main reasons I started this blog, because now I have many friends to discuss my books with, to see what they are reading and which books they recommend.

I liked your answer, I don't discuss often, mostly just read books and read reviews of blogger like you. I do enjoy reading others reviews.

My mother and sister are both big readers and we share books and thoughts about them with each other.

I like your answer as prior to moving in January we were too far away from people to really discuss with so I know how you felt.

Everytime I get together with my sisters, I usually have a bag of books to share. They unfortunately don't get to read as much as I do, but it's still fun to share and discuss.

Here's my BTT.

I have family and friends that read, but definitely not as much as I do and therefore don't want to talk as much as I do about books. Which is why blogging is so great!!

I love passing along books to whomever stops by my home. It's usually one of the first questions I'll ask someone and just love to bless them with lots of free titles.

Most of the time, its my kids, hubby and friends that get my leftover books. I still have three boxes of them in the garage.

I love to discuss books! I have my Mom who is a passionate reader like myself, but we don't always read the same thing. I've been getting my hubs books that I like as well so we can talk about them. Did that with the Smokey Barrett series by Cody Mcfadyen. My dd's and I discuss the Southern Vamp series by Charlaine Harris. I've been debating starting a book club to see if I can get some of my girlfriends interested and then I'll have people to talk to about it.

And yes that's why I started my blog too! I love books, the smell the feel and the fact that you can go to another place!

CMash, you're right about wanting to talk about a book you've just finished. That's the good thing about blogging. You can do that and get responses from those who are truly interested in the book. And may I add I love your blog! You have really blinged it out. That cursor is too cute!
