Musing Mondays (1 of 3)

MONDAY

Photobucket

Happy Monday all!  How was your Halloween?  Yesterday my hubby went out and bought the candy for last night (I still am not allowed to drive).  I told him approximately what to get, and being a man....did he listen.......NO!!  He came home with enough candy for the next 4 years.  I laughed all night because.....are you ready for this......we had about 6 little goblins that rang our doorbell  all night lol.  So this morning, I sent him off to work with a wicker basket and 1/3 of the candy and told him to put it on his desk.  My plan was not only to get rid of all this candy, but every time he looks at it,  he will be reminded that he should have listened to me lol.

Yesterday I asked about how I should post my memes.  It was unanimous, to put all memes as one post instead of having each meme having it's own posting.  Since today's memes had already been drafted and ready to go, in individual form, I didn't want to redo them.  I will be trying out the new format after today.

Today's Question:
Do you have any special reading that you do as it gets closer to Christmas? If so, tell us about it! And, if not, tell us why not! ;)
My Answer:
As an adult...no.  When my boys were small, I did read them Christmas stories.  I never even thought about reading a book because of a holiday, I just read my favorite genres year round.

I adore Christmas books & tend to read them in the fall so that I'm a bit more in the spirit...
Of course, I also like to read them at other times of the year...

I'm with you on this question. I don't read holiday themed books but I can see why parents would with younger children. You can check out my MM here

LOL on the candy situation! We had more than usual trick or treaters this year. The weather was nice so I am sure that contributed. I don't seek out Christmas books either.

as much as I love Christmas, I don't really read Christmas books. Maybe it is a matter of time..maybe it is that many tend to be too sentimental...not really sure why.

I dont usually have Christmas themed books this time of year but I found one in the charity shop the other day and am saving it to read in the lead up to christmas.

I too had christmas story books for the children about The Nativity as well as Santa.

I'm pretty much like you in my answer. I love the story of your husband and the candy. That would be my husband...totally clueless and would probably claim that he "forgot" what I told him. :-)

Same here, Cheryl. I read the way I read, all year long....
