SUNDAY

Question for those that use/have a blogspot address:
Is anyone having trouble today adding pictures to their posts or is it my computer?

Slapdash Sunday is a day for your proverbial week 'leftovers.' Is there something you wanted to say, but just forgot? Is there something you want to write about, but isn't worth a whole page? Do you have a random thought, funny or otherwise that needs to be written down?
That is what Slapdash Sunday is for!

The other day I added and catalogued the newest book I received to be reviewed.  As I looked at my pile, I started thinking, which is usually dangerous (lol) for me, and thought that the questions I had would be a good topic for today.
Do you get a lot of requests?  Or do you seek out books to review?  Do you think that because of this new phenomenon of social media outlets and book blogging/reviewing sites, that you are getting more requests from publishers, authors and agents?  Are there more requests this year than in the past?
What are your thoughts and/or opinions on this topic....would love to hear.  Lets have a Slapdash Discussion!!

I don't seek out books anymore but I did when I first discovered that I could. I wouldn't say that I get a lot of requests for reviews, but I certainly get my fair share.

In the beginning i went crazy seeking out publishers and authors but these day, not so much. I do think that book bloggers are a very important community for the publishing industry and they are really just realizing that. We are better able to garner exposure for their books at minimal costs to them. So i would think that that's one of the reasons why we receive so many books for reviews.

I do get a lot, but most are ones I've requested. I also have had several authors or their reps contact me to review their books. I'm trying to be selective so my mailman doesn't have to overload our mailbox.

Hi I am having trouble loading a picture to my blog as well, in fact I had to put a contest on hold because of this! I thought I was the only one!

I have gotten a few requests and at first I always said yes. Now I am being more picky. Grand total though is still very small for requests.....
