GIVEAWAY ENTRY PAGE "A LAWMAN'S CHRISTMAS" ENDED

OCTOBER 3rd to OCTOBER 17th, 2011

A LAWMAN'S CHRISTMAS
by LINDA LAEL MILLER

SYNOPSIS (borrowed from author's website):
The sudden death of the town marshal leaves Blue River, Texas, without a lawman…and twenty-five-year-old Dara Rose Nolan without a husband. As winter approaches and her meager seamstress income dwindles, she has three options. Yet she won’t give up her two young daughters, refuses to join the fallen women of the Bitter Gulch Saloon and can’t fathom condemning herself to another loveless marriage. Unfortunately she must decide—soon—because there’s a new marshal in town, and she’s living under his roof.
With the heart of a cowboy, Clay McKettrick plans to start a ranch and finally settle down. He isn’t interested in uprooting Dara Rose and her children, but he is interested in giving her protection, friendship—and passion.  And when they say “I do” to a marriage of convenience, the temporary lawman’s Christmas wish is to make Dara Rose his permanent wife…

Back in that time, probably. And I think if I hadn't found the love of my life that there were times I would have considered it. I feel very blessed that the basis of my upcoming wedding is love and friendship. :)

I don't think I could enter into a loveless marriage because marriage is so much work. I would need to at least care for the person.

Another Christmas book? ooooooooo Okay, umm, could I or would I? I will say this I did have an offer many years ago by a very good friend who knew he was dying. He was a good friend & the godfather to my son & told me to marry him so I could collect the insurance money for the kids & don't think I didn't think about it, but that's all I did. I took care of my friend until the day he died, and I still miss him til' this day. So, my answer is no. I can't do that.

NO! marriage is hard enough with that love as a factor. Sometimes the fact you have that love in your history is what makes you work it out.

I could never marry someone I didn't love. I can't spend the rest of my life with someone, raising a family with them, if I didn't love them first.

Probably not because without love and friendship it could make for a very unhappy life. It's hard enough in some instances with love present to make a marriage work and last.
I absolutely love Linda's books so Please count me in.

I don't think I would enter into a loveless marriage, but I have two friends from India and both were married to their husbands in arranged marriages and they are both happiliy married to this day one for 12 yrs and one for 16yrs so I guess a loveless start works for some people.

Yes, I think I could, at least if there was some liking and respect on both sides. It certainly couldn't be any worse than many that start out with love, or at least what is thought to be love, and turn into bitter and/or abusive relationships.

Could I enter into a loveless marriage? What is love anyway? I think I might be able to if I respected the person and we enjoyed a lot of common interests.

I wouldn't say a loveless marriage, If you really care for a person and want to be with them, love can grow. I did and it lasted 28 years.
