From her blog:
We all leave our “footprint” on the world, in one way or another. We each, individually, do something or are someone that makes the world a little better just by being here. I created this weekly meme to get to know the blogging community I love just a bit better. To know what makes them tick, outside of books, that is. Each week I will post a question to be answered in the following week’s “A Bit of Me(Me)”. Check back each Saturday to get the info for next week’s post and link up with your current post right here.
This week's question: What cartoon character best describes you the best and why?

Not sure if they are considered "cartoon" characters but feel they reflect all my moods and/or emotions at one time or another.  What about you?  What character do you think describes you?

I've wanted to start a meme like this for a long time. It's "Anything Goes on Saturday". It's a chance to choose any topic you want and talk about it on Saturday - it can be about a book, TV show, movie, a recipe or just an update on your week. Whatever you choose.
TOPIC:  Natural Disasters
Yesterday I was glued to the TV (I have said in the past that I always have the TV turned on and tuned in to a cable news station with the volume low ever since 9/11) due to the earthquake in Japan and the tsunami in Hawaii and the western coast of the U.S.  It seems to me that in the past couple of years that there have been MANY natural disasters, more so than usual.  Do you think so?  Is this frightening to you?  I read The Left Behind Series, which was authored by 2 Pastors in the late 1990s based on The Revelations in the Bible and written into a fictional story.  The series left such an impression on me and with some of the events that seem to be happening now that are similar in these books.  Has anyone read this series?  If you have, do you agree or disagree with me.  If you haven't read the series, do you think there seems to be more of these disasters happening more frequently?  And why?

My partner was just commenting yesterday on the increase in natural disasters recently.

It is shocking to see the pictures coming from Japan.

I love those characters! I don't know if you are aware of this, but I'm a Disney collectibles freak, so I have all the dwarfs, and a couple of them enlarged, as well as Mickey and Minnie, etc.

Here's MY A BIT OF ME POST

You are so right, there have been way too many disasters in recent years. My thoughts and prayers are with all of those people going through this horrible time.

Perfect choices! It's so true too, because we really can take on these characters with all our different moods. SO definitely a great pick!

As for the natural disasters, it's terrifying to me how many have been happening of late. We live about 10 minutes from one of the evacuation areas in California and it was suddenly so much more "real" than ever. Very scary. Thankfully everyone here was just fine. I only wish we could say the same for those in Japan, so sad.

The disasters make you wonder and think about life more.

I like your choice of cartoons :-)

Hmmm The best cartoon character that describes me today would be Grumby and Sleepy. After yesterday's surgery that's the exact way I feel, and also Nemo cuz I feel sooooooooo lost.

Natural disasters are nowadays more frequent. I suppose the earth is getting ready to renew itself....

My heart really goes out to all of the people of Japan and also other parts of the world that have experienced since horrible natural disasters! It certainly does seem like there have been a lot of them in recent years. I haven't read the Left Behind series, but I know you have mentioned it is one of your absolute faves. I have a $25 BN.com gift card and have been debating what to get for my Nook--I just might pick up the first book.

Take care blogger bff....

It's scary how the natural disasters seem to have increased. It's all due to climate change and global warming.
My prayers are with the victims of the earthquake.
