FRIDAY

Photobucket

Hosted by An Island Life
From An Island Life:
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, visit An Island Life answer the question and then post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My Question:
Telemarket calls: listen, hang up or other?

My Answer:
Hang up

Book Blogger Hop
Hosted by Jennifer from CRAZY FOR BOOKS
In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new book-related blogs that we may be missing out on! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed! So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list below!!
The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week, so if you don't have time to Hop today, come back later and join the fun! This is a weekly event! And stop back throughout the weekend to see all the new blogs that are added! We get over 200 links every week!!
Your blog should have content related to books, including, but not limited to book reviews.
If you start following someone through the Hop, leave a comment on their blog to let them know! Stop back during the week to see other blogs that are added! And, most importantly, the idea is to HAVE FUN!!

This week's question:
"Do you ever wish you would have named your blog something different?"

My answer:
I think the "CMash" is unique enough to distinquish it from other blogs but I wish the "Loves To Read" was different because of all the typing when entering it into all the the linky forms, etc, etc,.

If any actually get through I hang up immediately. But most don't sense I have my number on the no-call list

I use a cell phone, just because I couldn't stand all the telemarketers. So far they haven't called on it.

Would I name my blogs something different? I change the name of my blogs anytime I choose. I realize we have to have a blog address, but the name can be changed anytime I choose. Talking about a long named blog, The Fun Rooms blog address is http://candyandannsfunroom.blogspot.com now that is a handle. ; )
Finding a name that has not already been used is the biggest problem.

When a telemarketer calls, I listen. And decline the soonest possible time. When the call ends, I block the number.

Hopping by to say hi and wish you a fabulous weekend!! I love the title of your blog! I know what you mean about length. When I added "Book Reviews" to "Cafe of Dreams" is seems like forever to type out, lol!

Happy Friday, Cheryl!

Since Indiana came up with the No Call list for Telemarketers and we got signed up for that...we never get phone calls anymore. (Yay!)

And I answered the Hop question over at my place.

Telemarketers: I listen for just a few seconds, then tell them I am not interested and hang up. I kinda feel sorry for them--they are just trying to earn a living too!

And you think your name has a lot of typing-ha! Look at mine--UGH. Good thing I am a fast typist! LOL

I like the fact that my blog name is unique, but do wish it reflected something about books or reading. Oh well.

I always hang up on telemarketers (after I say "notinterestedthankyou" first...) ;)

I am an obsessive blogger, as you may know...LOL.

At one time, I had twenty, and now I have fourteen. When I deleted some, I merged them with others; some of the names were pretty long, so I changed a couple of them, but kept the original name as the tagline on these.

I do like being able to change the name, since, as you say, the URL stays the same. But I'd have to keep something that triggered the concept of the blog.

Here's MY BLOGGER HOP POST

I say no thank you and hang up right away.

I can understand that typing the Loves to Read in all the linky things would get old. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to type the full Jenni Elyse.

Sometimes I have wanted to change, but I think my blog name is unique enough and has it's own story and so I love it.

Enjoy your weekend.

Many I check the caller ID, and then I don't bother answering. Some or any I'm not sure of I have learned something & it works every time. My husband taught me that if you say hello, and it's silent DO NOT SAY HELLO AGAIN that's when they jump in & they realize it's not a machine. If you say hello twice your caught! One hello & then silence - HANG UP!
