Saturday Memes

SATURDAY

Hosted by Danielle at There's A Book
From Danielle's blog:
We all leave our “footprint” on the world, in one way or another. We each, individually, do something or are someone that makes the world a little better just by being here. I created this weekly meme to get to know the blogging community I love just a bit better. To know what makes them tick, outside of books, that is. Each week I will post a question to be answered in the following week’s “A Bit of Me(Me)”. Check back each Saturday to get the info for next week’s post and link up with your current post right here.
This week's question:  What are/were your favorite subjects in school?
During High School, it would be all courses that fell under Science/Health classes, since I was sure that when I applied to colleges it would be in the field of Nursing.
However, during the 4 years in High School, there was one class that was my favorite. The majority of students were quite upset if they found out that they were in Mr. Baxter's Junior's English class, whereas I was saying Novenas that I would get, and I even requested, to have him as my 11th grade English teacher.  And I did!!  He required that you read a book, of your choosing, (can't remember exactly the time frame since it was quite a few years ago) every 1-2 weeks and then write a book report.  LOL Kind of what I do now as a hobby.  Thanks Mr. Baxter!!!!

I think it's great that you also loved reading...which is not surprising, considering that you're here on a book blog site! LOL

I used to wish that I loved sciences more, as nursing sounded like a wonderful profession...sigh.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

What a fabulous English teacher! Just the thought of being able to choose your reading sounds refreshing.

Wow. Science. I'm just no good at it, so I definitely admire you for being able to do so well in it and love it. :o)
