FRIDAY

Photobucket

Hosted by An Island Life
From An Island Life:
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, visit An Island Life answer the question and then post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

MY QUESTION:
Summer is almost here, what are you looking forward to?
MY ANSWER:
Reading while either sitting by or in our pool....so relaxing!!!

Book Blogger Hop
Hosted by Jennifer from CRAZY FOR BOOKS
In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new book-related blogs that we may be missing out on! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed! So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list below!!
Your blog should have content related to books, including, but not limited to book reviews.

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:
"If you were given the chance to spend one day in a fictional world (from a book), which book would it be from and what would that place be?"

MY ANSWER:
The first book that came to mind was Beachcombers by Nancy Thayer.  It was a chick lit read set in Nantucket.  The characters came to life and I would have loved to be part of their friendship and spend the summer with them on the island.

Definitely the pool - and reading more since there won't be the hectic bus routine. ;) Can I come sit by your pool? I'll bring wine! ;)

I am looking forward to reading while floating in the pool too. We have to wait this year to open ours because our neighbor is having a tree removed that overhangs it and we want the cover to catch all the debris.

Sitting by the pool is a winner for the summer for sure.

I want to sit by a pool and read too! Or by the beach...or anywhere sunny with a book or my Nook! Happy Weekend!

Here for aloha Friday.
I'm looking forward to just being home this summer with hubby, who will be savoring his summer break from the military school.

I’ve seen a lot of great picks and gathered some fresh titles to add to my ever-growing TBR list. My answer will probably stun most people because the world I picked is a place most people would be scared to death of and try to escape from. Me? I want in.

Hop on over to my blog and be prepared for the unexpected – http://www.howardsherman.net

Ooh, I love Nancy Thayer! Sitting by the pool is about the only thing you can do in FL in the summer other than hiding in the house with the A/C blasting. Less blogging more reading is the summer mantra for me.

I'm not sure. I don't really care for the summer months because we are sooooooooooo busy. It's hard to relax.
