Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
*BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

The stakes had changed.  Crime scene all gone.  More like, investigation, all gone.  It meant that now the fingers of Albany justice were about to point at me as a suspect.  I turned and started back across the lawn towards the still burning home.

OK, that one sounds good. I really enjoy mysteries and thrillers, so this one goes on the "to be investigated" pile, where hopefully it will make it to the TBR pile. I'm eagerly awaiting the new "Prey" book by John Sandford -- i saw it on our "forthcoming" shelf at the library over the weekend, so it's getting close. (Lord knows where I am on the list, though.)

And I'm really enjoying this thriller which is both thriller and mystery, "The Deadfall Project" by Brett James. An old-school spy, a hero of the Cold War, is out of retirement and trying to battle modern-world terrorism. Very addictive!

[[His instructions had strictly forbidden him to bring anything not provided by his contact, but the flashlight looked useful so he brought it anyway. Allah favors the prepared.]]
