A Bit Of Me

SATURDAY

Hosted by Danielle at There's A Book
From Danielle's blog:
We all leave our “footprint” on the world, in one way or another. We each, individually, do something or are someone that makes the world a little better just by being here. I created this weekly meme to get to know the blogging community I love just a bit better. To know what makes them tick, outside of books, that is. Each week I will post a question to be answered in the following week’s “A Bit of Me(Me)”. Check back each Saturday to get the info for next week’s post and link up with your current post right here.
This week's question:  What’s your favorite holiday movie? The one you could watch every year and it would always remind you of that time of year.

As most of you know, I am not a big TV and/or movie person....give me a book anyday.  However, when my boys were younger, we did watch the following movies every year.  And even getting this post ready, I remember and cherish the memories of those years!!  Their favorites were:

I just watched Christmas Vacation with Michael the other night! LOL

I remember this really sad Christmas show when I was a kid that made me cry but I don't remember what it was. Maybe The Little Drummer Boy. It was made in the style of Rudolph, not live, but not a cartoon. It was really snowy and a mama donkey (or some other animal) covered her baby to sleep at night and she died overnight. It was soooo sad! That wasn't the main point of the story, but it is the part that sticks in my mind....

Oh, my kids loved the Charlie Brown movies! And later, the Vacation films.

Thanks for sharing.

The Charlie Brown special is good, I agree.

I love the ballet Nutcracker.

We used to watch Christmas Vacation most years as well. It was one of the few Christmas movies that my dad could get into as well as the rest of us back then, and it was great to laugh together.

Hope you have a chance to check out my favorite Christmas movies

My family watches Christmas Vacation every Xmas Eve for the past 10 years or so, ever since I was old enough to watch it without covering my ears :D

I have them all, and I love them all! I watch one by one every year, and I don't get through them all, but I watch what I can sometimes I just listen to them when I'm doing something else. I just finished watching "This Christmas" it has Chris Brown in it. He may be not nice, but he sings good. Hey, I got one of my presents today. A new chair for my desk. Woo Hoo! So did Dave. We bought each other one. ~hehehe~ I mean Santa did. HUGS.

I love Rodolph & The night they saved Christmas. For some reason I watch them both every year.

Recently I actually "had" to purchase the Rudolph movie (along with the others) because it reminded me so much of my youth. There was hardly a Christmas season without those movies playing 24-7 it seemed. They don't seem to do that so much anymore.

Thanks for jogging my memory! I'm off to watch it now! ;o)

I have to admit that I never watched all of A Charlie Brown Christmas. Horrible, I know! I wonder if it's on Netflix....

The other two are fantastic! Merry Christmas!
