SUNDAY
Hosted by Kayla at The Eclectic Element Slapdash Sunday is a day for your proverbial week 'leftovers.' Is there something you wanted to say, but just forgot? Is there something you want to write about, but isn't worth a whole page? Do you have a random thought, funny or otherwise that needs to be written down?
That is what Slapdash Sunday is for!
I am wondering....how do you allocate your time to do everything? Do you have a routine as to how much time goes into blogging, reading, chores? Do you do find that there is a "good time" to be on the computer for not missing out on "specials" or "giveaways" when the call goes out for reviews? Do you blog in between doing chores? What is your schedule or do you even have one?
So........let's have a Slapdash Share.....how do you do it all? Am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this topic!!!

TODAY'S TOPIC: ALLOCATING TIME
It has been a busy past 2 days and have not been on the computer much nor have I read, which means I am, once again, behind. It started Friday when hubby and I drove the 1+ hour drive to see the doctor for my post op visit (got very little bit reading done because hubby was in a talkative mood), x-rays then waited 2 hours (got a bit of reading done then) to see the surgeon.
The doc has revoked his mandates. I am now able to drive short distances and to attempt minor household chores (wish this restriction had stayed in place lol). I admit that I got spoiled by not having to do housework and could spend the majority of my time blogging and reading.
And yesterday, hubby and I spent the whole day moving and settling my mom and sister into a new assisted living facility. I am the latter part of the baby booming era and the sole person responsible for them both.
Which takes me to today's topic. I know how much time it takes to keep up my blog, check my google reader for all current news and events, visit other blogs and read from my tbr requests pile . Today I will try to catch up with my blog to-dos, drafting posts and giveaways, hopefully posting another one and try to get some reading in. I also feel that I might have missed out on things since I haven't even checked my google reader in the past couple of days.

I just blog and read periodically throughout the day. I don't have a set schedule. Yesterday I had a lot of errands to run, so I didn't accomplish much book-related stuff either.
So happy that your doctor has started granting you some more "freedom"--except for the housework part anyway! And how did the move go yesterday??? Hopefully better than last time....
I don't even try to do it all. I get the basic chores done (cooking, dishes, laundry, etc)...eventually...but I long ago decided that if it's a choice between, say, dusting and reading (or anything else I might want to do), then reading wins. Two minutes after I dust that fluffy stuff will be settling right back down on those shelves. Plus, I figure after working a 40 hour week I deserve "me" time. I don't let my house become a pig sty, but it does look lived in and I'd rather live like that than be house proud and never have time to do what I want to do.
Glad to hear you are on the road to recovery.
I am already nervous about losing my laptop tomorrow (it is going in for repair)
I have trouble now fitting in my computer time.
As many bloggers are in the USA I am still trying to find the right time to catch up with everyone.
I try to get online whilst my youngest is having his daytime sleep, or after he has gone to bed. Not always the way.
My reading is what suffers as I wont allow the house to suffer :)
see you very soon

Julie: I just wonder how it will all get done. I will try not to take on as many requests like when I did with the restrictions. Move went fairly well with a few glitches but I over did and am in a lot of pain today. Plan on going there later today to check out how things are.
Bev: Love your thinking!!!
Carol: Thank you. GL tomorrow..I went through withdrawals when my laptop went in for repairs. I am hoping that I get into a good routine between every day stuff, blogging and reading. It's going to be a trial and error situation until I figure it all out.
I think this is something we all struggle with and everyone has to figure out their own system. I usually do my computer stuff in the morning and check back in later in the day. I'm behind right now on writing, though, and it's really hard to catch up this time of year.
I don't allocate. I just do what for for me in a particular day. I also commit to only one post a day.
Kathy: I agree. I was behind before and with the holidays, I am sure I will have to dig myself out of a deeper hole.
Gina: I try for just one post a day too so not sure what I am doing wrong with my time. I just hope I figure it out sooner rather than later!!
I am so glad you got good news from the doctor, sad about the household chores too. :) I never have enough time, I have asked Santa for more reading book and blogs time for Christmas. We will see what he delivers!
